  3. Thank you for using this product. XiPaint 4.0 gives you many
  4. new features - and we still develop this product. For the reason
  5. to have to the right tool also the right surroundings, I thought,
  6. the best way is to make a CD which have all things you need to
  7. paint.
  8.  
  9. It is not the program alone, that satisfies - it's also the handling,
  10. the support the tools and the demonstration. Therefore, this CD
  11. gives you many import and export-modules, pictures, materials and
  12. and and.
  13.  
  14. For a nice price it was necessary to have the manual on CD.
  15.  
  16. Manual
  17. ======

  19. For this reason, I made AmigaGuide-Manuals, ASCII, and printable
  20. files to put out to your printer (in Deskjet, Laserjet and
  21. Postscript-Format). Only copy the desired files to your printer
  22. or click on the icon.

  24. The manual is made for version 3.0 - but its still the actual
  25. one. The new features are explained seperately.

  27. If you want to have a printed manual, you can get it at MacroSystem
  28. or NoahJi's.
  29.  
  30. If you have troubles with the Laserjet-manual (the pages are printed
  31. only a half), so please stop printing and print before the manual
  32. a graphical page with an other programm (PC, or Amiga). I couldn't
  33. reproduce this - so I hope, this will help ...

  35. The nice multipic.library is copyright by MacroSystem (Thanks) and
  36. I need it for loading and saving. Its not freeware - but every
  37. XiPaint user may use it. From Mr. Hoffmann I got a demo of his
  38. fast external loaders. If you want to work with the full-version,
  39. please register you! More details are in the Shareware-folder.

  41. An other nice thing is Graffity. It's a Workbench emulation for
  42. the Omnibus, Merlin, Domino, Graffity and Picasso. So XiPaint is
  43. also available for this graphic-adapters.

  45. If you want to use the WACOM-tablett, you need the driver from
  46. Roland Schwingel, which is also in the Shareware-directory.

  53. add-on price if ordered together with CyberShow Professional,

  111. Problems
  112. ========

  114. If you have problems with starting XiPaint, so please use the little
  115. programm xpinit on the CD. Start it from the xipaint-drawer, where
  116. the main-programm is found. It tells you something about your
  117. libraries and versions and where there are.
  118.  
  119. If you have no idea, why XiPaint can't find libraries, please copy
  120. all xipaint/libs/#? - libraries to libs:
  121.  
  122. If you have a VLAB and no VLAB-Menu will open, so please start xipaint
  123. from a shell with the option 7. This bug will be fixed in the next version.
  124.  
  125. Have you problems with loading your pictures? Maybe your loading-module
  126. is Internal-DEEP. Change this in the System-Folder under loader to the
  127. multipic-module (also for Saver).
  128.

  198. If you start XiPaint from a shell with the option 7 (xipaint 7),
  199. you are able to make Screenshots in the actual directory. These
  200. are made in DEEP-format, which you can transform with xipaint.
  201. Screenshots are possible with the PrtSc-Key.

  205. ============
  206. You want to change the help-texts? Start XiPaint in a Shell with the
  207. option 7 and press the Help-Key. The filename of the text-file is
  208. printed out to the shell.
